I watch too much television. I'm not sure what else to say about it but at least I can admit it! XD These are a few costumes I've made from some of my favorite shows (and I have a few more in my head that I'm thinking about making as well -- so the section will most likely expand). ONWARDS TO THE TELEVISION FUELED GOODNESS. I also feel like I need to make the obligatory DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL joke, but I will refrain.

Status: Active
Group: w/ Valerie as Maeby, Brian as George Michael, Sara as Lindsay, Aphy as Lucille & Draelight as GOB (D*C 2010)
Character: Buster! Arrested Development is the best tv show ever -- it is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. And of course, FOX was stupid and cancelled it. D: We wanted to show our love for the show and what better way to do that then by being total nerds! Buster is the youngest in a family of crazies and through a series of odd events he goes into the Army. And he gets "trophies" in the Army. A seal for marksmanship and a gorilla for sand-racing. XD At D*C 2010, we got more of the family and Valerie and I made a Franklin puppet. We didn't think it would be that difficult - but all the carving and the sanding and the stuffing and sewing and crap took about 12 hours altogether. It was worth it though! WE LOVE FRANKLIN. And people would see Franklin first, freak out and then realize that the rest of us were the Bluth family. XD

Dragon*Con 2010:

Fun things: BUSTER! (COME ON!) Acting really flaky like him was fun, also THE TROPHIES. XD
Bad things: The outfit was kind of hot, but that's understandable since it was a jacket and pants. Look, it wasn't the boots or the hair for once! My hair actually cooperated by staying under the hat and the boots were very broken in and had no heels!
Worn at: BaltiCon '10
Status: Active
Group: w/ Draelight as Ned
Character: Another show that was cancelled far too soon, just like the one above! We had been marathoning the show and had BaltiCon coming up. We wanted a simple sort of costume for one of the nights and that's when we put two and two together! Everything from the set design to the costumes to the plot to the script of this show was absolutely wonderful and it was a blast to be able to show our love for it. We also had way too much fun making the box from The Pie Hole! ;D

Fun things: I love the show and I love Chuck so this whole thing was fun for me. I just wish the show hadn't been cancelled!
Bad things: The heels were insane, but matched the dress really well. Also the fact that the handle on the pie box was stretching the more we held it. But we fixed it so it'll be okay the next time we wear it. XD

Group: w/ Erin as Carla, Ronnie as Turk and Jeremy as J.D.
Character: At D*C 2007, Erin, Jeremy, Ronnie and I talked about doing these costumes and a whole year later we still managed to do it (this was awesome since usually our ideas for costumes change a GAZILLION TIMES XD)! Jeremy makes an amazing J.D. (have you seen his J.D.-daydreaming face?) and Erin and Ronnie fit the bill for Carla and Turk (Erin can even make awesome bitchface like Carla!) -- now, I'm not blonde (and I didn't bother with a wig and such, since these costumes were so casual) but I am a flake like her, so we though it was fitting. ;D We had a lot of fun in these being silly and I wouldn't be surprised if we wore them again in the future cause we're all fans of the show. It was also nice to meet other fans of the show at the con. :D

Fun things: Running around with Erin, Ronnie and Jeremy in these costumes and being silly. Plus, they were Scrubs so they were comfortable.
Bad things: I guess the fact that I didn't have blonde hair or a wig, but besides that, nothing.

Group: w/ mah momma as Morticia! XD
Character: I wasn't really specific on a version, whether it was the TV show or movie Wednesday, cause I love both, but whichever one it looked more like (probably TV), I had so much fun with this. I was putzing around ebay and I found this dress and instantly thought HALLOWEEN IS SOON, THIS IS A SIGN. So I got it and then started searching around for a doll and so on -- I love that doll. XD I made a dress for her and then yanked the head off and threw it into the yard to add to the decor (after I made the head look nasty, of course). My mom was Morticia (we've wanted to do Morticia and Wednesday for years for Halloween) and the whole night we had a ball in these costumes. I want to wear this to a con, but I will probably have to invest in a wig or something -- the black hair spray stuff I used looked really good but it pretty much turned the white collar of the dress black. Hehe.

Fun things: We have wanted to do this every single Halloween and and it was so awesome to finally do it! It was comfy and toasty warm~ XD
Bad things: The black hairspray rubbing off on my collar. D:
