Yes, yes, it's true. The creators of the game, brothers Rand and Robyn Miller played the adorable Sirrus and Achenar. And they did a damn find bang-up job of it. Also, both were authors on the novels that were released. P.S. They are of the genius kind, no lie.

fun facts: the third of four sons, seven years younger than Rand, quieter and more shy than Rand, also taller than Rand, wrote all of the soundtrack to Myst and it's sequel Riven. and no, I don't think he's into all that crazy junk Sirrus is, seriously. fun facts: the oldest of four sons, came up with the idea for their first game The Manhole, the 1984 date in Myst's planetarium is the date of Rand's wedding --- except he got the year wrong. Rand also plays Atrus in the Myst series. Check out Rand's Wikipedia page and also his blog!

For the fourth game in the series, actors came in to play the brothers this time. Robyn had left Cyan at this point to work on his own projects and Rand still had his hands full with playing Atrus. I think the two actors they got played the brothers spot on and I loved every second they were on screen. Sadly, I can find next to nothing on the two and if anyone has anything about them that I could put here, pleeeeeease let me know! Thank you!
