‡ Bachman Rd. - runs north to south in the Silent Hill Resort Area. Annie's Bar is on the east side of it. Named after Richard Bachman, which is Stephen King's pseudonym. He published The Long Walk and a few other stories under the Bachman name.
‡ Bachman St. - runs north to south in Old Silent Hill. It's the street Harry crashes his jeep on and also runs past the Balkan Church and the Convenience Store. Named after Richard Bachman, same as above.
‡ Balkan Church - Dahlia is found here after Harry completes his trek through the Midwich Elementary School. She leaves the drawbridge key and the Flauros pyramid behind, which Harry adds to his inventory.
‡ beam saber - Silent Hill 3; a green-bladed weapon you get in an Extra New Game, much like a lightsaber. If you score 100 (10 stars) in an extra new game, the blade becomes longer when you start a new game.
‡ beef jerky - Silent Hill 3; Heather can use beef jerky to distract enemies and snap their attention away from her. If you leave an enemy eating it for awhile, it will vanish and they will begin hunting for food again.
‡ bent needle - Silent Hill 2; James finds the bent needle stuck in a teddy bear in the Women's Locker Room on the 2nd floor of Brookhaven Hospital. He combines it with some strands of hair so he can pull a key out of a shower drain.

‡ 'Betrayal' - Silent Hill 2; a song from the soundtrack. Plays when: James fights the two Pyramid Heads in the lobby of the hotel.

‡ Billy Locane - Silent Hill 2; mentioned character. One of the two Locane siblings murdered by Walter Sullivan. He is alluded to in the Trick-or-treat game and the article found the apartment dumpsters.

‡ 'Black Fairy' - Silent Hill 2; a song from the soundtrack. Plays when: James is in the alternate hotel.
‡ bleach - Silent Hill 3; found in the 1st floor women's bathroom in the reverse side of the Shopping Center. Heather conbines it with detergent to make a insecticide in a southeast corridor.
‡ Bloch St. - runs west to east in Old Silent Hill. Balkan Church is on the intersection of Bloch St. and Bachman St. Named after Robert Bloch, author of Psycho.
‡ 'Block Mind' - Silent Hill 2; a song from the soundtrack. Plays when: Pyramid Head is chasing Maria and James in the basement of the hospital.
‡ blood pack - Silent Hill; found on the storeroom floor in the Hospital. Harry uses it to distract the creature in room 204 so he can slip by and get the Plate of Hatter.
‡ Blue Creek Apartments - This is one of the first places James visits in Silent Hill 2. You meet Angela for the second time here.
‡ Boat Stage ~ time and max speed - Silent Hill 2; one of the things displayed on your ranking screen after you complete SH2. It shows how fast you went and how much time you took while rowing James in the boat across Toluca Lake.
‡ Bobble-Head - Silent Hill 3; a named given by the fans to Valtiel before his real name was known. (see VALTIEL)
‡ Born From A Wish - Silent Hill 2; the sub-scenario in which you control Maria through a short, alternate part in the game. Only on the X-box version and the PS2 Greatest Hits version.
‡ Bradbury St. - running west to east, it's the southernmost street in Old Silent Hill. At the west end is Midwich Elementary School. Named after Ray Bradbury, the author of Something Wicked This Way Comes and Fahrenheit 451 --- among many others.
‡ Brahms - the 'next town over' --- you can see the name on a couple of road signs. Cybil tells Harry when they meet in the Cafe that she is from Brahms.
‡ 'Breeze - in Monochrome Night' - Silent Hill 3; a song from the soundtrack. Plays when: Douglas and Heather are in Jack's Inn.
‡ Brookhaven Hospital - Basically, a mental institute. James and Heather both end up here during their quests at some point. Maria gets killed once here, Heather hears from Stanley and she also 'meets' Leonard. Both also get to travel to the incredibly wonderful Alternate Brookhaven Hospital too. Fun!
‡ bulletproof vest - Silent Hill 3; Heather finds this in the clothing shop on the reverse side of the shopping center. When she wears it she recieves less damage, but it also slows her down and she becomes exhausted quicker.
‡ Burning Man - painting found in one of the cells in Toluca Prison. It's meaning is unclear, but the painter also painted '436 At A Recital' and "Woman In Flight' ...which are both under their respective letters. This painting shows a rough outline of the Lakeview Hotel and it's on fire. The most colorful part of the painting comes from the flames.
